UPDATE:

Together, we, as Vista Church, came as one to express our passion, our heart, and our investment into and for our community. Together, we were able to raise $323,673 towards our Prepare the Way goal.

Our community will never be the same. The stamp of eternity will forever be on the lives of people – people who stir the hearts of our loving God. Our next ministry season took an amazing step toward reality. We are preparing the way for the next season that God has for Vista. Will we look back on Prepare the Way as one of the real watershed moments for our church? We think so. We could not be prouder of our church investing in something so much greater than ourselves.

Thirty-two years ago a group of Christ followers came together in a daycare center to start what would become Vista Church. From our time at Hand-in-Hand Daycare, to Conway and Deerwood Elementary Schools, and even now at our home on South Chickasaw Trail, we have been a church family that welcomes people warmly, worships God wholeheartedly, and connects people with God, both in our own community and throughout the world.

God has been faithful to us over these last 32 years, and He isn’t done yet! We are convinced that God is calling us to prepare the way for Vista’s next season as we seek to reach our community with the gospel in bold new ways so that all of Southeast Orlando might come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

PREPARE THE WAY
FOR OUR NEXT SEASON

Strengthen our connection with God, prioritize active listening to one another, and solidify our organizational foundations through leadership development, paving the way for a successful launch into a new phase of influencing the world for Christ.

  • Invite our church family to speak into the future of our church through a congregational assessment process.

  • Partner with an intentional interim pastor to guide us through to the next season.

  • Determine who God is calling to be our next lead pastor.

PREPARE THE WAY
FOR LOCAL AND GLOBAL INFLUENCE

Position Vista for sustainable, enduring ministry, fostering a nurturing environment for our church family, actively engaging with and serving our local community, and striving to expand our influence globally.

  • Ensure that our gathering places are welcoming to guests, our church family, and the community.

  • Update our children's area to make sure we meet the highest standards of safety and care.

  • Invest globally through caring well for our supported missionaries.

PREPARE THE WAY
FOR FINANCIAL STABILITY

Firm up our foundations by giving generously of the resources God has given each of us individually and stewarding those resources well so that we are solidly positioned to care for our church family and reach Southeast Orlando for Christ.

  • Position us for financial strength for the next season with a culture of joyful generosity.

  • Replenish our reserves in order to ensure our ability to provide for staff and cover ministry expenses.

  • Address deferred maintenance issues on our HVAC system, roof, and other high-need items.

OUR GOALS

100%
PARTICIPATION

We will grow in our faith as a family if we all link arms together to achieve our goal of connecting people with God in Southeast Orlando and the world.

WHAT WE ARE ASKING OF YOU

As we look forward to the exciting things God is going to do in and through us at Vista Church, we want to boldly ask you to be a part. Lean in instead of stepping back. Ask God for big things so that we might see people connected to Him in Southeast Orlando and the world.

PRAY

Ask God how He would have you be involved. Pray for open hands and open hearts to what God is going to do in you, our church body, and our community in the future. How do you want God to change you? And how do you want God to use you?

COMMIT

Stand arm-in-arm with your church family. As we move into this new season together, 100% participation is our goal. Commit to seeking God in a fresh way, learning about His heart for generosity and what He desires for you.

GIVE

Ask God to show you what it looks like for you to give sacrificially in this season. Then take a bold step into that vision, trusting that God will supply all of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

“But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new” (Isaiah 43:18-19a).
