LADIES’ BIBLE STUDY
Ladies, Is there life after Christmas? Yes! The next Bible study series starts up this Tuesday, January 6th  at 7pm, with a study by Anne Graham Lotz, “I Saw The Lord; A Wake Up Call for your Heart”. Sign up beginning this Sunday at the Welcome center. Plan ahead to join us and connect with God and friends, Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm here at Vista.

NEWCOMER COOKOUT
On Sunday, January 11th, after the 10:30 service we will have a cookout to welcome our newcomers and get to know some new faces. If you plan to attend please bring a dish to share and join us for lunch! Hamburgers, hotdogs, and drinks provided.

NEW DISCOVER VISTA CLASS BEGINNING
A new “Discover Vista” class will begin Sunday, January 18th during the 9:00 service in the Adult classroom #3. If you’d like to know more about why we do what we do, this is a great opportunity to engage. This is the first step to becoming a member of Vista. Anyone interested please email ginny(a)vistachurch.com.

PRODIGAL PROJECT KICKOFF
We will be having a pot luck luncheon for everyone interested in participating in the PRODIGAL PROJECT, Sunday, January 18th, immediately following the second service.  At this point we have over 60 people participating in the PRODIGAL PROJECT, and only about 1/3 have identified their personal coach.  The luncheon will give everyone a chance to meet the other people who will be involved in the project and identify a potential partner for those who don’t already have one.  We will also receive about 30 minutes of initial instruction, followed by a time for us to ask any questions we might have.  Please bring at least one dish to pass, with more than enough food for you and your family.  Drinks and table service will be provided.

VISTA MEN’S RETREAT
Men of Vista, the time has come to sign up for the Vista Men’s Retreat, January 30th – 31st.  We will be staying at the Hampton Inn at Cocoa Beach Friday night and Saturday morning and then stopping to play a golf scramble on the way home on Saturday afternoon.  Come and get to know the other men at Vista. Male bonding at its best! Cost is $89.  Register Sunday at the Welcome Center. Keep in mind you are not fully registered without payment. Questions? Call Van @ 407-306-8000.

LIFELINE SCREENING
Wednesday, January 28th Vista will be a host site for Lifeline Screenings. The screenings are for stroke, aneurysm, and vascular disease. Appointments are required. To register call 1-877-792-8480.  Do not call Vista to reserve a space. If you know someone who may need this but needs assistance please call the church office @ 407-306-800. For more information you can pick up a pink flyer at the Welcome Center.

VISTA’S MARKETPLACE MINISTRY
Vista's Marketplace Ministry is now a partnership with Palm Beach Atlantic University (PBAU) to deliver free networking sessions and seminars on biblically-based leadership and business principles ,  every 4th Wednesday of the month starting Jan 28 at 7 pm at Vista.

PBAU's academic and professional resources will combine with Vista's professional talent, location, and facilities to reach out to the Business community in South East Orlando and help them in today's challenging business environment.

PBAU prepares students through learning, leadership and service. The Orlando campus, conveniently located by the Millenia Mall, provides a Bachelor's in Organizational Management and Master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership or Counseling Psychology.

PBAU’s distinctives include its dedication to conveying the value and significance of the American free enterprise system, and its emphasis on community service, which requires daytime undergraduates to perform at least 45 hours of service annually.  More details are available at:
www.pba.edu/orlando  or call 407-226-5955. Our own Elder Craig Domeck is Dean of the Management School.

The Vista family is invited to attend, to learn and to connect with our neighborhood businesses. Please spread the word to all business contacts.

Thanks also to those from our Vista family who have offered to help. We still need more volunteers for coffee service, preparing and handing out informational flyers, and as presenters. If you would like to help or want additional information please contact Kathy Thomas at
kathy@innovations4leading.com, tel: 321-297-6056 or Silva Kandiah at silva_k@hotmail.com, tel: 407-362-9133.
